Trip planner · Map, timeline & costs
Your whole trip, on one map.
Flights, stays, car hire, transport and activities become a day-by-day map and timeline — every leg in order, every cost counted, the whole trip readable without a signal.
Or skip the typing: forward the booking confirmation and it is read and turned into itinerary entries for you — both directions of a return trip included.
Free to plan. Start a trip before you make an account.
Built for the way trips actually happen
Most travel apps store bookings or suggest places. Map My Itinerary is the working surface in between — the plan itself.
Everything on one map
See the whole route at a glance — every stop, stay and activity pinned, and the same plan as a day-by-day timeline.
Every part of the trip
Flights, accommodation, car hire, transport and activities are first-class items with their own fields — not notes you have to re-read.
Forward a booking, get an itinerary
Send a confirmation email or a PDF to your trip and it is read for you and turned into real entries — including both directions of a return trip.
Connections, not one long line
A multi-leg journey keeps its connections: each layover becomes its own arrival and departure on the day it actually happens.
Costs, planned and split
A cost planner totals the trip by category in your currency, marks the costs that are per person, and shows what the trip comes to each.
Works offline
Your itinerary lives on the phone. Open it, read it and change it with no signal — edits sync when you are back online.
Plan together, in real time
Invite travel mates to view or edit. Changes land on everyone else’s timeline as they happen, not on a refresh.
Share a link with anyone
Publish a read-only page of the trip. It opens in any browser, with no app and no account, and unfurls with a preview when you paste it.
In the calendar you already use
Subscribe to the trip from Google, Apple or Outlook Calendar with one link. It updates when the plan changes, and you can revoke the link whenever you like.
Settle up in any currency
Track what everyone paid, in whatever they paid it in, and see who owes whom in the fewest transfers.
Vote instead of arguing
Put an activity to the group and let everyone vote on it, on the item itself — not in a chat thread nobody can find again.
Fix the order of a day
Reorder a single day of stops into a sensible route so you are not crossing the city twice. Per day, on request — nothing moves without you asking.
Duplicate a trip
Copy a whole itinerary onto new dates. Good for the route you loved, the trip you run every year, or a plan you bought.
Somewhere to book it, when you want it
Add a stay, an activity, a hire car or a flight you have not booked yet and the app can point you at somewhere to book it, prefilled with your dates and destination. One quiet button on your own item — never a pop-up, never a row shoved into your timeline, and never behind the paywall. Booked already? You will not see it.
Disclosure: some booking links in the app are affiliate links. If you book through one, we may earn a commission from the provider. It costs you nothing extra, and it never changes which suggestions you see or where they appear.
From booking confirmation to itinerary in minutes
Start the trip
Name it, set the dates, say who is coming. You can do this before you make an account.
Fill it in — or forward it in
Add flights, stays, car hire, transport and activities yourself, or forward the booking confirmation and let it be read into entries for you.
See it as a map and a timeline
Every item lands on the map and on the day it happens — connections and all — while costs roll up into a live trip total you can split per person.
Take it with you
On the road it works offline, stays in sync with your travel mates, and you can hand anyone a read-only link to the whole plan.

- Looking for a TripIt alternative? How Map My Itinerary differs from TripIt on maps, offline access, group trips and cost splitting — written by a competitor, sourced and dated.

- Looking for a Wanderlog alternative? An honest Wanderlog comparison: what they do better, and the narrower places we differ — calendar feeds, multi-currency settle-up, free group planning.
- Split trip costs where the trip already livesTrack what everyone paid across currencies, mark costs per person and settle up in the fewest transfers — inside the itinerary, not a separate app.
- Put your itinerary in the calendar you already useSubscribe to your itinerary from Google, Apple or Outlook Calendar. One revocable link that keeps updating when the plan changes. No re-importing.
- Forward the booking confirmation. Get the itinerary.Send a confirmation email, PDF or photo to your trip address and it becomes real itinerary entries — flights, stays and car hire, return legs included.

- A road trip planner that fixes the order of your dayPlot the drive, then reorder a single day of stops so you are not backtracking. Works offline, splits fuel and tolls, shares as a read-only link.

Itinerary marketplace
Someone has already worked out your trip.
The plan is the valuable part — which town to sleep in, how long the drive really takes, which day the market is on. So you can buy the one you would rather not build — and, in time, sell the one you did.
If you planned it
Selling opens with a small group of planners first, so the early itineraries are ones we have travelled or checked. Buyers get their own copy; the original stays yours, and you keep travelling on it. Tell us if you want to be part of that.
How selling works →If you would rather not
Read the whole plan on the web first, then buy it and get your own editable copy — every stop, in order, on dates you choose. Payment is handled by Stripe. We create your account from the email you give at checkout and send your receipt and a sign-in link there, so the trip is waiting in the app when you open it.
A bought itinerary is a digital product you get immediately. We refund it where it is faulty, not as described, or otherwise fails a consumer guarantee — nothing here limits the consumer guarantees you have under Australian Consumer Law.
Buying happens here on the web and opens when the app launches. Selling is invite-only to begin with — open listings need seller payouts, which come later.
Free to plan. Pro for two specific things.
Planning a trip properly should not cost anything, so it does not. Pro exists for the parts that cost us money to run.

- ✓Full offline access to your trips
- ✓Forward booking emails and PDFs straight into an itinerary
- ✓Optimise the order of a day so you are not backtracking
That is a short list, and we would rather say so than pad it. Pro is three things that work today. When something new appears here it will be because you can already use it, not because the table looked thin.
Would rather not subscribe?
There is a one-off lifetime purchase alongside the subscription. It unlocks exactly the same Pro features, forever, and to begin with it costs the same as a single subscription period. Buy it once and that is the end of it.
Price shown in the app for your region
Pro is billed by Apple or Google, and a subscription can be cancelled any time from your store account. Refunds for store purchases are handled by the store — and nothing here limits the consumer guarantees you have under Australian Consumer Law.
Disclosure: some booking links in the app are affiliate links. If you book through one, we may earn a commission from the provider. It costs you nothing extra, and it never changes which suggestions you see or where they appear.
Frequently asked questions
Can I get Map My Itinerary yet?+
Not yet. It is built for both iOS and Android but has not been released yet, so there is nothing to download today. The store links will appear on this page as soon as it goes live in your region.
What can I put in an itinerary?+
Destinations, flights, accommodation, car hire, transport such as trains and ferries, and activities. Each one is a proper item with its own dates, times, costs and notes, and each one lands on the map and on the day it happens. Multi-leg journeys keep their connections, so a long-haul flight with a layover shows the layover.
Can I forward a booking confirmation instead of typing it in?+
Yes. Each trip gets its own private import address. Forward a confirmation email to it — including PDF or image attachments — and the booking is read and turned into itinerary entries, both directions of a return trip included. Forwarding is a Pro feature; you can always add items by hand for free.
Does my itinerary work without internet?+
Yes, with Pro. Your trips are kept on your device, so you can open the itinerary, check times and make changes with no signal, and anything you changed syncs when you are back online.
Can I plan a trip with friends or family?+
Yes, and it is free. Invite travel mates with view or edit access and everyone sees changes as they happen. Costs can be marked per person, and the planner shows what the trip comes to each.
Can I show my trip to someone who does not have the app?+
Yes, and it is free. Publish a read-only link to the trip and it opens in any browser, with no app and no account. Paste it into a message and it unfurls with a preview of the trip.
Can I sell an itinerary I have planned?+
Yes. Put a trip up for sale at your own price and a buyer gets their own editable copy of it, on dates they choose, while your original stays yours. Buying and selling happen on this website rather than in the app, and payment is handled by Stripe.
How much does it cost?+
Planning is free, and that is the whole planner rather than a trial. Pro adds full offline access and forwarding booking emails into an itinerary. You can subscribe or buy Pro once as a lifetime purchase, which unlocks exactly the same features — the price for your region is shown in the app.
How do you make money from booking links?+
When you have an unbooked stay, activity, hire car or flight, the app can offer you somewhere to book it. Those are affiliate links: if you book through one we may earn a commission from the provider, at no extra cost to you. They are never gated behind Pro, never a pop-up, and they disappear once you have booked.
Is my travel data private?+
Your itineraries are private by default and visible only to people you invite — unless you choose to publish a link or list a trip for sale, which are both deliberate actions you can undo. We do not sell your personal data.
